The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car.
The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck.
That is pretty awesome! ^ A whole lot of instruments and stunt driving lessons! I’m down! Haha but honestly this looks like it would take great patience and i condemn the artists, what a creative way to get their music out there!
In our first Inner Tequila Studios project we turned a house into a giant synthesiser, and with the help of music producer Riton and London’s music community, reworked his latest track ‘Rinse & Repeat’ into a wild experimentation. #InnerTequila #Desperados
This video used to pop up on my spotify advertisements all the time & without a doubt it is hard to forget that little beat in the intro.
The campaign was called ‘release your inner tequila’. A bunch of people are getting involved in the video playing everyday household appliances and furniture that desperados turned into actual musical instruments to remix Riton’s song “Rinse and Repeat.” The video creates a buzz and is another cool way of generating sound. Did you think of that?
COLDCUT & HEXSTATIC
Timber is a collaboration between Coldcut and Hexstatic.
Timber was designed to raise awareness about destruction of the rainforests. The video itself is a compilation of “sampled” videos from National Geographic and TV wildlife documentaries.
Good stuff! Another wack and creative way to do things! .Moving on..
I really enjoyed this video, it shows a great sense of unity /togetherness and is definitely something to make you smile. There was a lot of planning that went into the production and it was all for one cause; getting Foo Fighters to play in Cesena! I do hope after all of this they did exactly that !
